The Game Boy Camera was released by Nintendo in 1998, and ceased production in 2002. The resolution of 128 by 112 pixels and just 4 shades of gray might have felt limited even at the time, but this camera was cheap – and what other cameras also pack a music composition tool and a few mini games in to the package? 24 years on, there’s still a lot to love about the distinct style of the images it creates, and an enthusiastic community has made it easier than ever to transfer pictures from the device.

This collection has been selected from 12 years of shooting tourist essentials with a Game Boy Camera. The photos come from across the world, from Australia to Scotland.

The artist’s proceeds from all sales will be donated to The Video Game History Foundation. The Video Game History Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and teaching the history of video games.
